| We have had a very dry winter
here in Sacramento. so we have been able to
go to the park every week for playgroup. I facilitate a playgroup at Land
Park
in Sacramento every Tuesday at 10:30am with my Mom's group, Mothers'
Support Network. The first few weeks were hard to get Cole out of the
house
and at the park by 10:30, but now we are always looking forward to it
since
Cole's best friend Cooper usually goes too. Cole calls Cooper, Coopie
and
talks about him almost every day.
Christmas was good. My Dad was here for the month for Christmas. It is
nice
to have him here. Thanks Dad for doing some electrical work around the
house.
Chris come over too and we had a nice morning opening gifts. This is the
first
Christmas Cole has been able to take part. He did not have much exposure
to
Santa Claus. I told him he would have present on Christmas morning because
we love him and we give at Christmas to the ones we love. He was very
into
unwrapping the gifts and was more than happy to open our gifts too. He
got
a lot new trucks and cars, a garage to drive his cars around in, animals,
a farm
house and tractor and a small train set. He received other gifts from
family that
we unwrapped one of the gifts each night that week, so he would not be
so
overwhelmed on Christmas morning. I still think it was too much.
On Christmas afternoon, my Dad, Chris and I went to the
movies. It has been a
long time since I have seen a movie. It was such a great time for me.
I love
those moments I have to myself, especially being able to spend it with
my Dad
and brother.
New Years Eve we are starting a tradition of a baby friendly party (2nd
one)
at our house. We had a good turnout this year, but everyone leaves by
9pm.
It was a great night enjoying our friends and my Dad was able to spend
it with
us too. We make party hats by setting up a table with art supplies. You
can see
Cole's hat below.
Cole is a crazy jumper. He has been jumping for a while
now and he is good.
He is constantly jumping or running or skipping. He loves to hold hands
with
someone and jump high. He can hold my hand and jump up onto my shoulders.
He has also started climbing a lot more and is climbing up the ladders
at the
park. I love to see him challenging himself and he is doing it more and
more.
